The FlutterbyBaby family started in January 2001 when I married my best friend, Derrick. In May 2003, we added an adorable bundle of joy, our daughter Brenna, to the family. Derrick and I met on the internet in July of 2000, so I think that it is only appropriate that I am launching my christian based cottage business on the internet. We married in Jaunary of 2001 and Derrick has encouraged me to pursue my desire to start a small Christian-based cottage industry business. In September of 2002, I quit my full time job and undertook substitute teaching in order to allow myself time to work out of my home. Shortly after I started substitute teaching, we learned I was pregnant and we felt God had his hand in me being a work-at-home-mom. When I was a child I saw my mom sewing (in what little time she had as a single mom), making clothes and wanted to do what my mom did. At a young age, I learned how to use a sewing machine. I started making quilts 19 years ago when I received a brand new Bernina for my birthday (Thanks Mom!). With the creation of FlutterbyBaby, I bring my passion to create and a lifetime of experience in sewing and crafting together to make the most adorable diapers for your little bundles of joy. FlutterbyBaby was born out of my desire to make not only functional but fun and colorful cloth diapers for your baby's booty. Our products are environmentally friendly and daddy tested and approved!
FlutterbyBaby's newest business partner is Sunshine's mom, Lee. She is a new WonderWAHM knitter! Lee will be offering pre-knit soakers, shorts, capris, longies and custom slots. All of these knit goods are knit 100% wool yarn hand-dyed by Sunshine. :o) Welcome Lee!
Our goal is to make your baby's diaper cuter than ever on the outside, no matter what you find on the inside! Just in case you're wondering what do these people llok like... Well here we are~
